About Us


Greg Helbling – Owner/Broker

Greg has been an all-lines agent, broker, and insurance consultant in Idaho for the past 25 years, including nine years as District Manager for Blue Cross of Idaho.  He has serviced and managed benefits for the majority of North Idaho school districts, many of the hospitals, cities, counties, and large employers.  His strengths include a thorough understanding of public and private employers’ insurance committees, unions, negotiations, retirees, benefit designs, provider networks, and pricing

As a community leader, Greg has been honored to be Coeur d’ Alene Rotary president, president of Life Underwriters, 2007 Boss of the Year, Coeur d’ Alene Chamber Board member, and founder of Holy Family School.

Greg enjoys mountain biking, working out, and spending time with family and friends

Chad Murray – Broker

Chad is an Idaho native and graduate of the University of Idaho with a degree in Management Information Systems. He brings with him seven years of insurance agency management experience, most recently with Safeco Insurance, in Seattle, Washington. In his current position, Chad focuses on school districts, cities, hospitals, and large employers.  He prides himself on bringing our clients the most comprehensive employee benefit packages available. Chad also has extensive training in long-term and short-term disability, earning his National Health Underwriters Group Benefits Disability Specialist Designation in April, 2008.

Active in the community, Chad is a 2007 Leadership Coeur d'Alene graduate, Sunrise Rotary member, City of Coeur d'Alene Bike and Pedestrian Committee member, and member of the North Idaho Association of Health Underwriters.

Chad enjoys the outdoors, biking, snow and water skiing, and spending time with family and friends.

Teresa Espe – Senior Account Manager/Senior Benefits Specialist

Teresa’s knowledge of benefits and local school districts go hand-in-hand, having worked in the Post Falls and Coeur d’Alene School Districts for 20 years. Ten of those years, Teresa worked in the human resources department and was involved in all aspects of employee benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, COBRA, flex plans, PERSI, and retirees.

Teresa served on the Coeur d'Alene School District Boundary Committee for ten years and continues to serve in her twelfth year as the Coeur d'Alene School District Levy Treasurer.  She is also a member of the North Idaho Association of Health Underwriters. 

Teresa enjoys golfing, sewing, reading, and cooking for her family.

Jacque Haler – Senior Benefits Specialist

Jacque’s involvement in her family’s business from a young age was foundational to her excellent skills in servicing both small and large group accounts, including North Idaho schools and a local college.

Jacque volunteers each year for the Ride-the-Wall benefit for Habitat for Humanity in the Silver Valley.  She is also a member of the North Idaho Association of Health Underwriters.

Jacque enjoys cooking and baking, and, most recently, she and her husband are enjoying becoming new parents!

Beth Edwards – Agent/ Benefits Specialist

Beth joined Helbling Benefits with 10 years of patient services, most recently with the Group Health Cooperative.  As an experienced customer relations professional, Beth is prepared to respond to your inquiries with regard to benefits, services, and policy interpretation and facilitation.

Beth serves as treasurer for the North Idaho Association of Health Underwriters.

She enjoys boating, snow skiing, and traveling with her daughter and friends of the ASA Fast Pitch Association.

Jeff Prendergast – Agent

Jeff, our newest agent, comes to us with two years experience in the insurance industry and a broad range of knowledge and understanding of individual and small group policies.  With a kind, caring, and fun personality and an enthusiasm to meet new people, be assured you will receive the great customer service you've come to expect from the Helbling Benefits team.

Jeff is a member of the North Idaho Association for Health Underwriters.

He enjoys football, hunting, fishing, snowboarding and backpacking, and spending time with his wife and daughter.

Nellie Armstrong – Benefits Specialist

Nellie comes to Helbling Benefits with several years experience in medical office administration and has the proven skills and dedication we count on to ensure consistently great service for you, our valued customer.  Her main focus includes servicing hospitals, municipalities, and medical clinics.

Nellie volunteers at events for the Post Falls Chamber of Commerce. 

She enjoys camping, cooking, outdoor activities, and spending time with her family.

Lynne Kinson – Wellness Coordinator

Lynne is a two-time University of Idaho graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Education and a master’s in Sport Science Exercise Physiology. She comes to Helbling Benefits with extensive background in wellness, disease management, marketing, and sales. Lynne will coordinate wellness plans specifically for our clients’ needs. Lynne is familiar with partnering with employees as she worked for the Boeing Company in their Corporate Health and Fitness Department. She was also the Exercise Physiologist for the Cardiac Rehab, Diabetes Education, Osteoporosis, and Weight Management Programs at Gritman Medical Center. Lynne has worked in Cardiovascular Disease Management, with vast experience in patient education.

Lynne's passion is helping people live a healthier life through exercise, good nutrition, and disease prevention. She has coached basketball for nearly a decade and is an NIC Basketball Host Mom. She enjoys camping, hiking, gardening, exercising, and spending time with her family.

Tara Little – Office Manager/ Administrative Assistant

Tara comes to Helbling Benefits with more than 20 years office management experience, specializing in finance and operations. As Greg Helbling's personal assistant, Tara provides office leadership and organizational management to the firm, including day-to-day operations. In addition to being a great organizer, Tara thrives on helping others.

Tara is community-minded and volunteers at various events throughout Coeur d'Alene.

She enjoys boating, biking, tennis, and spending time with her husband and two children.

Cammie Collins – Receptionist

Cammie is more than likely the first person you will reach when you call our office. With nine years experience in the customer service industry, Cammie understands the importance of responding confidently and professionally to our clients' needs. She also provides administrative assistance to other members of the Helbling team.

Cammie enjoys downhill mountain biking, snowboarding, wakeboarding, hiking, camping, rafting, and spending time with family and friends.

Mary Stewart – Office Assistant

Mary provides excellence as a staff member and independent contractor in many office environments, including the insurance industry, legal offices, and political firms.  Most recently she has used her skills to help Holy Family Catholic School flourish and now assists Helbling Employee Benefits.

Mary is a member of the Parent Advisory Council at Gonzaga Preparatory School.

She enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
